Youth was on my side,
yet I had no money to hide.
Adventures were all around me,
there was so much possibility.

The world was my stage,
and any part I would play!
Auditions came and went,
and callbacks were money I’d already spent.

Then life did turn,
and with each lesson I did learn.
Interests changed,
Priorities rearranged.

A moving truck came,
and life was no longer a game.
Our family grew,
and life began anew.
