  • What is your name and where do you call home? Brian Wilson, New Zealand

  • Do you have a pen name? NO

  • What is the name of your most recent book and if you had to sum it up in 20 or fewer words, what would you say? ‘Bumpy Roads- a collection of short stories’. This is a collection of 35 short stories- some humorous and others thought provoking. They are based in 8 countries.

  • Is the above book part of a series? No

  • What or who inspired you to start writing? And how long have you been writing? I have always liked writing. Following the earthquake of 2011, which brought down the building across the road from where I worked and entombed the 113 occupants, I began to use this and other experiences to produce short stories. These were mostly fiction. I have been fortunate to have traveled the world and have a rich experience to draw from.

  • How did you come up with the cover? Who designed the cover of your book(s)? I drew the cartoon cover.

  • Do you prefer e-books, paperbacks, hard-covers or audio-books? Paperbacks, but my books come in paperback, hard cover and e-books.

  • Are you a self-published/Indie author? Self-published through a print on demand publisher

  • If you’re a self-published/Indie author what made you go that route instead of the traditional publishing route? I couldn’t be bothered going through the long and disheartening process of sending manuscripts out to lots of publishers until one accepted my work.

  • What is your opinion of novellas? I have no problems reading these.
