SYNOPSIS: When a wealthy businessman mysteriously vanishes without a trace, legendary detective Hercule Poirot is determined to uncover the truth. Filled with twists, clues, and classic Christie intrigue, this adaptation brings one of Poirot’s most famous cases to the stage.

MEET THE AUTHOR:
Agatha Christie
Agatha Christie (1890–1976) was an English author widely celebrated as the “Queen of Crime.” She penned 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, cementing her status as the best-selling novelist of all time, with an estimated two billion copies of her books sold globally.
MEET THE PLAYRIGHT:
STEPHANIE HYATT
Stephanie Hyatt is thrilled for this opportunity to adapt such a wonderful story for the stage! Her theater jaunts around Huntsville have been numerous, acting in shows with Front Row Theatre Troupe, Theatre Huntsville, Fantasy Playhouse, and the beloved but defunct Renaissance Theatre. Lately, she’s been more busy costuming than acting, but is excited to be a part of the Front Row Theatre Troupe!
MEET THE DIRECTOR / PRODUCER:
NINA SODEN
Nina Soden is a director, producer, and performer with a lifelong passion for theatre. She holds a degree in Theatre Arts and Communications from Eastern Michigan University and has worked extensively both onstage and behind the scenes in directing, acting, stage management, and technical production.
Her directing credits include beloved productions such as The Importance of Being Earnest, Arsenic and Old Lace, and You Can’t Take It With You, among others. Nina has brought compelling performances to life in roles ranging from classic drama to contemporary comedy. As the founder of Front Row Theatre Troupe, Nina is dedicated to creating immersive, engaging theatrical experiences that bring stories to life, showcase local talent, and build community.
Outside of theatre, Nina is an accomplished novelist and a successful real estate team leader in North Alabama, where she brings the same dedication, creativity, and heart to everything she does.
MEET THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR:
Stacy Neuberger-von Hoffman has done many parts in the the theater world – acting, writing, assistant directing, directing, scene design, and many other acts behind the scenes. Stacy is excited to be the Assistant Director (AD) for this show as she has always enjoyed Agatha Christie and is excited to help with this adaptation.

SHANNON COY as Poirot
Shannon Coy is overjoyed to be a part of Front Row Theatre Troupe! When she’s not onstage, Shannon enjoys painting, gaming, writing, baking, cosplay, and opera. She admits that she has too many hobbies. Shannon is grateful for the support of God, friends, family, and wonderful husband. 1 John 4:10-11
CARRIE SMITHSON as Hastings (8/27 & 8/28)
Carrie is excited to be performing with Front Row Theatre Troupe for a second time. She has been blessed to be a part of many amazing productions, such as SORDID LIVES (Evil Cheez Productions), THE ROOK IN THE BELLY OF THE WHALE (Evil Cheez Productions), TOO MUCH LIGHT MAKES THE BABY GO BLIND (Theatre Huntsville), and other various shows throughout the years. She’d like to thank her husband & their four sons for all their support. Enjoy the show!
DUNCAN WATKINS as Hastings (8/29 & 8/30)
Duncan Watkins has been performing on local stages and screens since the age of fifteen. He made his community theatre debut with Fantasy Playhouse in 2005 and has since appeared in numerous productions throughout the area. Most recently, he has performed with Evil Cheez Productions in shows including Dracula, What Not to Do When Your House Is Haunted, and several installments of The Rook plays. After taking a 3-year hiatus from the stage, Duncan is thrilled to return to doing what he loves and is excited to share this new chapter with audiences.
JACQUELYN BERNARD Bernard as Inspector Japp
Jacquelyn Bernard is delighted to be back on stage as Inspector Japp in The Disappearance of Mr. Davenheim with Front Row Theatre Troupe. Over the years, she has appeared in productions with Fantasy Playhouse, Madison Community Chorus/Ovation Arts, Renaissance Theatre, and Asbury Church, performing in favorites such as The Sound of Music, The King and I, Little Orphan Annie, and Swiss Family Robinson. She’s thrilled to be dusting off her acting shoes, sharing plenty of mystery, and hopes you enjoy this evening of great food, great company, and a little detective work!

Everyone has heard the name Jack the Ripper. But how many, other than True Crime enthusiasts who’ve studied the case, can name even one of the Ripper’s victims? THE BELLES OF WHITECHAPEL: THE VICTIMS OF JACK THE RIPPER SPEAK gives these women back their voices. Through a series of monologues, it shows that each was a unique individual with thoughts, feelings, and her own story. Far more than just numbers on the hit list of history’s most infamous serial killer, they were real people, united in death by the hand of their murderer. The audience will learn all the salient facts concerning the Ripper case, yes, but more importantly will come to know the women whose lives were tragically cut short and who have largely been forgotten—until now.
